Thanks! I'm just getting to know some of the bird names of the feathered 
kind in and around here. I was quite amazed at some of the ducks that live 
here during the Summers and migrate through during Autumn and Spring. I had 
no idea we had Wood Ducks here. Their colours are amazing. I also caught 
some beautiful red wing blackbirds strutting their stuff on the airport 
fence. Although this conversation is going a bit off topic.....here is a way 
to bring it back a bit.....
When the birds are migrating, I've seen huge flocks fly directly through the 
glide path/approach of the airport. I wonder if the airport does something 
besides the "canon" thing to keep them away? The noise is there from the 
canon but personally I don't think that accomplishes much. From just 
watching the Canada geese, they seem to ignore it and fly wherever they 
please.
